Town Mayor
Mayor Don Post was elected to council in 2005 and in 2006 to his current office. The mayor resides in Milton with his wife, Pat, and son, Chris. He has served as president of the Milton Historical Society, president of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, committee person for the original Comprehensive Plan and Co-founder of the Milton Historic District. The mayor was instrumental in securing Milton Middle School as an on-going educational institution in the town. Civic contributions have included being past president of the Cape Henlopen Food Basket, committee member of the Delaware Sugar Free Kids Camp and many other non-profit organizations.
The mayor works as the program director for Delaware Division of Public Health's Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, developing a comprehensive statewide approach for improving the quality of life for those Delawareans who live with diabetes. His program has received numerous state and national awards.
In addition, the mayor operates a small antique business in the Town and, through a collaboration of local legislatures and the Milton Garden Club, secured funds for beautifying the downtown. He believes it's important to preserve the historic character of the Town while at the same time balancing growth in a responsible manner.
